 work horses kidsThere was a man in Holly Springs who breeds Percheron horses with donkeys to create very large mules. This picture was shot at an exposition at his ranch. Occasionally I would see him driving his mules on the back roads of the town, pulling a cart or carriage. A local friend once told me that as a child in Memphis she saw, up into the 60’s Mississippians carrying thier produce to sell by mule and wagon. |  rodeo Jim Dennis |
